ENGLISH IN YORK 2019 RECAP: WHAT A YEAR!

Updated: Jan 30

As another year draws to a close, we always like to take the time to reflect on what kind of a year we've had here at English in York. 2019 has definitely been a busy and successful year and one to remember! We hope our students from this year feel the same way.

We have welcomed students from all over the world, with many different cultures and backgrounds coming together to learn English. Our variety of social activities has been particularly great this year as our students had the opportunity to visit a multitude of places including Manchester, Liverpool, Nottingham, Robin Hood's Bay and Whitby, to name a few!

City trips aren't the only thing our students can do after school hours though, as they also went bowling, enjoyed games of Laser-Quest and tried their best at an Escape Room! Whilst getting out of York and visiting other places is both informative and fun, our students also love to see what York itself has to offer and enjoy as much of it as they can whilst they're studying with us.

Inside the classroom, this year saw the implementation of interactive whiteboards! These have proved to be a great addition to the school and have been used for general activities, quizzes and film nights. They're a great way of improving the overall learning experience and advancing the ways in which we can learn.

Come January, we will have the official statistics for the year and be able to share them with you all! For now, we're looking forward to a relaxing Christmas and to hopefully having the best year yet in 2020!

SEASON'S GREETINGS & HAPPY NEW YEAR
