It is very cold here in York! This week the temperature dropped to 0°C for the first time this year. All of our students are buttoned up in coats, scarves and gloves - but this hasn't stopped our fun!

We've been on lots of trips recently. The autumn to winter season is always a great time to be in York. We have celebrated Hallowe'en, Bonfire Night, and been to see the annual light festival - Illuminating York

We are now all getting ready for the festive period, as English in York closes for two weeks between Friday 19th December 2014 - Monday 5th January 2015. A lot of our students are excited to have a break to go and see their families in their own countries, but some students are staying to enjoy the festivities here!

We spent the day today decorating the English in York Christmas tree. It's always nice for our students to experience the traditions of an English Christmas - and everyone is looking forward to the annual party on the last day of term!

If you would like to come and join the fun, please do not hesitate to get in touch. We still have some spaces available for January, but if you would like to book please do as soon as possible! You can use the book now tool, or if you have any questions please do contact us.

From all of us at English in York - enjoy the holiday season and best wishes for a very happy New Year. We hope to see you in 2015!
